Photo Manipulation
The Ask.
As part of the project, I was tasked to showcase my ability to manipulate a single image of a celebrity of my choice using various Photoshop tasks. The requirement was to present three final outputs by developing and manipulate images in a unique and diverse way, ensure neatness, clean cuts, and provide clear documentation of steps.

The Process

Why La Lisa?
La Lisa is a Thai rapper, singer, and dancer, who moved to South Korea to pursue a career in music. She eventually debuted as a member of a K-pop girl group BLACKPINK in August 2016.
For this project I wanted to implement who Lisa is and what she has done in her career.

Money Face
“Money” is Lisa’s first single album characterized by hip-hop, featuring dynamic rhythms and lyrics that boast about wealth and success.
Fire Half Face
In the group BLACKPINK, Lisa contributed significantly to the group’s success, and her role in songs like “Playing with Fire.”
Double Exposure Thai Temple
La Lisa comes from a family with a mix of Thai and international heritage. As a Thai-born artist, Lisa expresses her pride in her heritage and used her platform to promote Thai culture globally.

My task was to research tutorials of different outputs of my choice and following the guidelines provided from the video.

Created a detailed record of steps in a text document listing tools that were used for each task.

Showed before and after versions of the images
documenting the creative process in ways that visually appeals and match the project’s specifications.

The Outcome
By demonstrating a unique and diverse development of images, I showcased how Photoshop can be a versatile tool for creative manipulation. I successfully refined my skills in using multiple Photoshop features and tied the project to La Lisa’s cultural roots, making the images both visually compelling and culturally meaningful.
